For almost 30 years Garmarna have been one of the most important Swedish folk band. 90 000 records sold over all the world and constant touring have made them a world class act transforming old Swedish medieval ballad into dark electronic costumes without loosing touch with their roots in traditional Swedish folk music. The band did a restart in 2016 taking their career to a new high and have evolved ever since. In 2020 there will be a new album out. Here they take on electronic pioneers Dockhuset and a track from their debut from 1984 – an instrumental called Kashmir. Garmarna transforms the electronic track with their own sounds adding Hurdy Gurdy and Mora Harp to the beat and the electronics and add some distinctive Garmarna feel to the song.
